Physical properties*:
Roses carry soothing properties to wherever they move in the body, be it in the digestive system (useful for ulcers, gastritis, IBS and more), in the cardiovascular system (easing heart arrhythmia, hypertension and more), in the nervous system and mind (beneficial for anxiety), and in the reproductive system – where it is regulates menstruation and is said to be aphrodisiac. In some parts of the body rose has an astringent property which can help to close wounds, reduce heavy menstrual flows, strengthen the womb lining, refresh loose skin and tonify veins (varicose and hemorrhoids). On the skin it can also reduce the heat of rashes, itches, bites and stings. Internally roses exhibit antibacterial properties in the urinary system, gut and even throat, being proven to be anti-proliferative against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Chromobacterium violaceum, Erwinia carotovora, Escherichia coli, B. subtilis, and more. In Chinese medicine Roses are known as a ‘shen tonic’ meaning that they soothe and strengthen the ‘link’ or oneness of mind, heart and spirit, on the physical level this is because they are nervine, on an emotional level this is because they are roses. Roses are excellent at reducing heat and inflammation in the heart and cardiovascular system which may be caused by stress, poor diet, intense emotions, autoimmune diseases and more.

Spiritual Properties:
This is most certainly one of the most beautiful plant extracts in existence, white rose is such a high form of love. Ornate, majestic, transcendent somehow… white rose lifts a heart to the skies, born atop petalled wings. This delicate, yet often prolific flower encourages us to cultivate beauty with a balance of vigour and tender refinement that is similar to its own. Often we begin this cultivation with our thoughts, and white rose is quite powerful in its ability to cleanse and bath the mind in its higher form of refined love. Whilst other herbs, flowers and even other colours of rose may encourage forms of love that are tinted with hints of lust and primal longing – not that theres anything wrong with that- white rose on the other hand invokes a love that is strikingly sacred, perhaps righteous.
