Nettle Leaf 1/7: Drains damp stagnation/excess of fluids, high mineral load will help bolster nervous system to handle stress, anti-allergenic, will restore adrenals which should help normalise cortisol levels and thus enable more balanced immune responses. Will also help reduce anger around past interpersonal situations. Inhibits histamine H1 receptor. Inhibits mast cell tryptase release and subsequent degranulation. 
Mulberry Leaf 1/14: Will balance out the drying aspects of the bitter herbs, but astringe damp relaxation symptoms. Will significantly tonify lungs, decreasing their sensitivity. Will harmonise the exterior layers (skin, stomach, lungs) to be less sensitive to toxins and certain foods. 
Elderflower 1/7: Anti-allergenic. Will drain lymph which can flood with degranulated mast-cells and other immune response cells during hay fever. Will encourage a fullness and relaxation of breath. Helps to release excess heat that one often feels with hayfever, whilst simultaneously drying the watery nature of hayfever. 
Andrographis 2/7: Decreases anaphylactic constriction feeling in throat with andrographolide and neoandrographolide, decreases mast cell degranulation. Bitter and cooling astringent that will drain excess fluids down through body contrary to the upwards movement that the allergies/hay fever is creating. 
Honeysuckle 1/7: This herbs ‘cold’ and ‘sweet’ properties disperse heat, clear toxicity and cool the blood – entering the lung, heart and stomach meridians. It is thus a very relevant herb for those suffering from allergies where the body is reacting to what it thinks is an excess of toxins. 
He-Shou-Wu 1/14: One of the most overlooked reasons for allergies is adrenal fatigue or adrenal exhaustion. The adrenal glands sit atop the kidneys and are responsible for managing stress, producing a hormone called cortisol. When a person is chronically stressed, the adrenal glands produce excessive amounts of the hormone, and, over time, the adrenal glands become fatigued. Once they reach the point of exhaustion, they are unable to produce the amount of cortisol necessary to mount a proper defense against stress. He-Shou-Wu is an adrenal tonic. 
Baical Scullcap: 1/7: Stabilises mast cells, top Chinese medicine herb for clearing damp heat – hayfever is a damp heat condition. Anti -allergenic. Anti-spasmodic. Helps to balance and restore nervous system which is often over-actived and stressed in people experiencing hayfever.
