Arthritis blend.
A Spagyric Tincture formulation of: Gotu Kola, Cinnamon, Ginger, Red Sage, Eucommia Bark & Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa)
We recommend buying a 50ml bottle at least as this will give the formula more of a chance to cleanse and rebuild joints.*
Recommended dose 30 drops 2x a day or 15-17 drops (1 squeeze) 3 x a day.
Physical Actions*:
This formula is designed to help decrease pain and inflammation in the joints whether it is caused by ‘auto-immune’ response as with rheumatoid arthritis; age related decline; or if it is simply caused by overuse and stressing of that joint - this formula contains herbs that address all of those scenarios.
- Gotu Kola helps the body to synthesize more collagen, this is perhaps more useful than collagen supplements themselves because the body will always break down ingested collagen into the respective amino acids and peptides before it re-synthesises it – gotu kola promotes this re-synthesis. It also nourishes the ligaments that hold our joints together, helping to increase their strength and elasticity.
-Cinnamon is a classic herb for treating arthritis, it contains small amounts of collagen, but more importantly encourages blood flow to the joints and helps to carry away toxins found therein.
-Ginger, this herb acts in much the same way as the cinnamon but with a little more fiery oomph, and a little less fluid nourishment. It is highly anti-inflammatory, helping to reinvigorate stagnant blood which may be allowing toxin build up in the joints.
-Red Sage. Helps to regulate immune responses, enabling them to become more direct thus helping to manage rheumatoid arthritis. This herb acts to balance the fire of the ginger and cinnamon, as it is said to be blood cooling, though it also complements them, as it too helps to shift blood stasis and purge toxins from the bloodstream.
-Eucommia bark was shown to have a cartilage-protecting effect in rats with osteoarthritis, potentially by improving cartilage metabolism, regulating the degradation of the extracellular matrix of the articular cartilage, and inhibiting apoptosis in chondrocytes, thereby slowing down joint degeneration.
-Cat’s Claw (Uncaria Tomentosa): This herb reduces the activation of several inflammatory substances in the body that may lead to increased inflammation. It has an immune-modulating effect, thus benefitting rheumatoid situations, and it helps to purify the blood from waste products. Its’ claw like morphology also suggest that it will draw herbal action to our own claws (fingers and toes).
